Coma Cup
The annual Coma Cup between Lancaster and Penrith chess clubs took place in August. Lancaster had the better of the first tie, with Penrith taking honours in the return leg. The match ended up as a draw 8-8. All to play for in 2027!
Penrith visited Lancaster on 1st August for an 8-board tie with a time control of 110 + 10. Due to illness, only seven Penrith players made the trip and Lancaster ran out 7-1 winners.

On 8th August, Lancaster travelled tp Penrith with only six players. In the end, Penrith won the tie 7-1, leaving the match a tie.
